Solo farming Mythic WOD Raids for Transmogs

Most raids tend to have Bind on Equip loot dropping, and some of these pieces look very good! That means people will pay nicely for them. They aren't bad either for leveling purposes. WOD raids are an excellent choice, as each piece usually always sells for several thousand gold, many even closer to ten thousand instead. Let's take a closer look a those drop rates!

All of the elemental Motes from The Burning Crusade are very expensive and still in surprisingly high demand, so a quick way to make some extra gold is to farm these. Motes of Water are from my experience one of the most valuable motes, only second to Motes of Air, and here's a nice fun way to farm those!

Loot Hunters - Solo Farming Firelands - WoW Gold Guide

Let's continue soloing Cataclysm 25 player raids to find out which are the best ones to clear every week for a nice bit of extra gold. Next up is Firelands, home of Ragnaros. This instance is massive, so it will take considerably longer than The Bastion of Twilight which was discussed previously. However, big instances means lots of trash, and lots of trash means lots of gold!

We haven't yet solo farmed any Cataclysm raids, but now when level cap has raised, it gives us a good reason to pay a visit to these. Back then it was extremely difficult to solo any of the bosses and gold farming depended entirely on trash mobs, and even they proved difficult. But things are a lot different this time. Trash still drops a ton of valuable stuff, including transmog epics worth over 20k gold and super rare profession recipes. But what about bosses? Lets go hunt for some Loot!

Here's the mount selling tips I mentioned in the previous post to make a healthy amount of wow gold. The last mount selling gold tip was popular, so here's 2 more! The other is a bit different this time, a non-guaranteed drop! That does not make it any less valuable though. On the contrary! With the nerfs to old raids, there are a lot more mount runs to sell as well with all your high level alts. More about them in upcoming gold making posts. But now let's improve 2 older tips!

Soloing Cataclysm Heroics for Gold - Part 9 - Grim Batol

Grim Batol is one of the best instances to farm. It's packed with mobs and almost all of them are humanoids, so there's a TON of Embersilk dropping here, not to mention other drops. If you are after Embersilk cloth, make sure to do the farming with a Tailor to get even more cloth! Read on to see how much wow gold was obtained from a single run which took less than 15 minutes.

Next up from the Cataclysm Heroic dungeons is The Lost City of Tol'vir. We have tackled this instance too about a year ago, but it was in normal mode. How much gold can you make if you clear the instance in heroic mode instead, solo? Normal mode was a gold mine, but let's see how much heroic mode gets after a year.

However, even if there were 20 other people doing this same thing on your realm, you'd still benefit from it, as you can do this only once per week. It will also not take more than 10 minutes of your time, and you can make even 30k gold off those minutes sometimes. However, you need to be level 90 and have decent gear.

How Chinese Gold Farmers Make Gold - Part 3 - Halls of Lightning

You may have had to run knee-deep in skeletons when visiting some of the older instances from time to time, if you play on a PVP realm. An excellent example is Halls of Lightning in Storm Peaks. These are the hotspots where gold farmers like to make their gold by using 3rd party programs. How much are they making in Halls of Lightning? Can you do it too, without bots?

Sha Crystals are selling nicely for the time being, and will stay great unless 5.4 brings new 5 man dungeons. For now it's a decent option if an enchanter wants to make some wow gold in Pandaria. Sha Crystals aren't that easy to come across though, so what are some nice ways to get them?

You still have a reason to visit older raids in LFR, if you have enchanting and want to make gold.

Loot Hunters: Solo Farming Blackwing Lair

Blackwing Lair has been accessible by solo farmers since they made the first boss soloable some patches ago. Not many have gone here for gold making purposes, though. So the big question is: What kind of treasures can you find when you clear this place alone? Not even a raid group is required anymore, so this will be fast to clear!

BWL is a decent place to make some wow gold! But it does not beat Molten Core or Sunwell.
