You still have a reason to visit older raids in LFR, if you have enchanting and want to make gold. |
Farming LFR for Sha Crystals
Sha Crystals can only be obtained from Mists of Pandaria epics. Epics are epic though, so you can't just solo farm them that easily. In my opinion it's a great idea to queue for older MOP Looking for Raids, which are Mogu'shan Vaults, Heart of Fear and Terrace of Endless Spring. After the changes made to the loot in these instances, you usually win something from every boss, especially if you use your Elder Charms of Good Fortune.
You can get a huge amount of them from the Isle of Thunder, especially if you loot the weekly treasure chest or find the Key to the Palace of Lei Shen. More information on those two coming later in a Isle of Thunder farming post.
There's 16 bosses total if you clear all three of them, and as an enchanter you can often get even 2 Sha Crystals from one epic.
If that wasn't enough, then you can also tackle the 4 world bosses each week. These are Galleon, Sha of Anger, Oondasta and Nalak. Though Oondasta and Nalak bonus rolls use the newer Mogu runes instead of Elder Charms and the drop rates are way lower, as you will most likely equip whatever they drop for you.
Honor and Justice Points into Sha Crystals
How to spend excess Justice Points? If you have spare Honor Points or Justice Points, you can purchase Malevolent Gladiator's gear and disenchant it. Cheapest epic costs about 1250 honor points and can be DE'd into 1-2 Sha Crystals.
Pandaria PVP items can be bought from Hayden Cristophen for the Alliance, and Lok'nor Bloodfist for the Horde.
If you don't have Honor Points, but have Justice Points that you don't need, then you can convert 375 Justice Points into 250 Honor Points at Talric Forthright or Togar.
