ReplyDeleteI make my gold probably a little differently than most. For the last few months I've been buying and reselling battle pets - on two to three different realms.
I purchase pets that are overflowing the market at cheap prices - say that is realm 'A'. I learn those pets and resell them on another realm 'B' where there is a high demand and I can ask top dollar. Then on realm 'B' I look for the same thing - more cheap pets overflowing the market that will be in demand on realm 'A'.
I've made a LOT of gold doing this, plus I find it very enjoyable. =)

I recall selling a few stacks of illusion dust, some crafted plate armor (MOP green and blue quality) and a 5.2 green world drop (old zul'aman lookalike). These three things actually made me a pretty fair chunk of gold. Exactly how much? Well, that will remain a secret ;)

ReplyDeleteOne "niche" market that sells decent is for the "completist" players - people that NEED to have every recipe of their profession in the book (even if it is completly useless).
ReplyDeleteMy tip is Blackwing Lair since its fairly quickly (under 10 minutes), chance at 3 pets + Orb of deception(2-4k extra) and those vanilla alchemist transmute recipes that you dont get anywhere else (2-4k). nothing that will get you bank, but still a nice haul.
Latest sale was Midnight Mace for 499g99s99c, flipped from 10g.

ReplyDeleteWhere did I make my last gold? Well, that's an interesting story. Just chilling in Org when this guy starts spamming in chat, "Paying 1k to the first person to open trade with me!". SO I'm like, whatever, I got this. Make the macro, /tar % and go around Org spamming it. Found his little dot, but it wasn't nearly that simple. His dot was in a wall. So I go all the way up, nope he's not at the sky limit, and then decide to go on my priest and look through his eyes or whatever that spell is. He's sitting under Org. So relog onto my main, lookup a quality video on youtube to figure out how to get under Org, and I'm down there and 5 minutes flat. Find him sitting in his (cheater like) position, trade him. He glances at me, I glance at him, he gives over the 1k and we go our seperate ways.

my way of making gold is a little more creative then just sticking some things in the auction house or farming. I just randomly once or twice a day put this in trade chat on my server " Looking for more contributions to save the planet from ugly people. Send 5g to demoshzer today, every donation we plant 1 tree, so we can make more paper bags for the ugly people." Many players find it fun and funny and the amount is small enough even the lvl 1 will jump in.

I've been making my last bit of gold by leveling my 90 hunter in a new profession - tailoring. He's been farming the cloth he needs and selling the leftovers in the AH. It was pretty profitable for a while when frostweave was at 120g per stack on my server! I also send the gear he makes while leveling to my enchanter who DE's them and sells the mats.

Hi, Well I have mining and Enchanting at max on my main. What I do is take a hour a day or so when most people are not on. I kill all the Pandaria Rares I can find while picking up Ghost Iron. Most of the time I get about 25+ Rares without any special drops that’s +- 10-15 Ethereal shards at 35g each and about 400 Ghost iron Ores (200 bars 10 stacks) sell them in the first 30m listed at +- 114g per stack. at a bare minimum I make 1660g for just an hour of my routine and a MAX of up to 5K+ if I get purples from Jade Forest and Wilds and maybe if I am lucky and get a couple of Huge bags.If I don't make Bars with the ore I usually send it to my Jewel crafter to prospect them as it has a decent chance to get Imperial Gems at 100+g each. I don’t even have to cut them to make a decent Profit.Using the above method 2-3 times a day I easily clear a profit of 10K in a normal day of 2-3 hours leaving me more then enough time to Raid and get my valour cap ect. Gold Capped +. I make gold from lots of things when I work at it. At the moment, I post every two or three days a bunch of glyphs. Log into the glyph seller, do chores while I collect the mail. Post two or three times to put up about around 800 glyphs. I generally make 5 to 7K. I spend about 15 minutes of actual time in-game. Works for me.
